The 9/11 Page

My personal story is this - from about 8:30AM until 9:10AM eastern time (US) I was stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic on Butler Boulevard trying to get to work. I was listening to NPR. At the time that the planes hit, as people were burning and dieing, NPR was airing an essay by Molly Ivins that made fun of the way President Bush talks. During the 9AM newsbreak, Carl Kasell said a plane had hit the World Trade Center - a minute later he said there was an explosion in the second tower.

My story is boring - the one's below are not:

The 9/11 Memorial Website - it takes a while to load and a while to view, but here it is in all it's photographic agony.[Image]

Instapundit from 9/11 - get a sense of the day's news flow. Read from here UP.

Stanley Praimnath - he saw the plane coming directly at him - and survived, he says through God's grace.

Remembering the passengers of Flight 93 - from The Post-Gazette

The Last Page - eyewitness account of American 77's crash into the Pentagon

James Robbins - also watched American 77 crash into the Pentagon

Robert Lee's Story - Robert was the booth producer at CNN Headline News when the planes struck

George and Jennifer Weld - were riding their bikes to work when the planes his the WTC. George pulled out his camera.

Jeff Jarvis was also an eyewitness in New York. Read, or listen to, any of the links on the right side of his blog.

The Man In The Red Bandana - he saved lives.

Did some have prior knowledge? - The strange case of New York/New Jersey school children.

He is You and Me - the famous, disturbing photograph and the photographer who took it.
