He said that he was bringing with him an invitation by Cuban President Fidel Castro for his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to attend the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) that is to be held in Havana at a date still to be fixed.
The minister said that Western states applied dual policies to developing states on issues such as the development and use of nuclear energy and affirmed Iran's legal right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
He also voiced his country's strong support for Iran's nuclear activities.
He stressed that the practice of certain countries of applying double standards on countries that wish to modernize and avail of modern technology cannot be allowed to continue.
