Cuba holds a trade fair

Cuba held a trade fair over the weekend, and the American companies came. The Caymen Compass quotes the head of Cuba's food import company as saying U.S. companies signed contracts for $259-million. Cuba also signed deals with Vietnam, New Zeland, China and Brazil.

U.S. farmers and members of Congress representing agricultural states have become some of Cuba’s top lobbyists, pushing for normalized trade with the island.

Normalized trade, in this case, means giving fidel credit. He now has to pay for goods before they are delivered.
